Racetrack Level

This is made with Unreal Engine 4. The goal of this project is to create a classic racetrack level following a chosen theme which is a racetrack under construction located on an island.

 

Level Design:

  1. Made sure to that assets and materials/textures used bode with the theme and all the other assets.

  2. To create realistic racetrack, I made sure to put hairpins, banks, chicanes and straightways on the track.

  3. To achieve theme, I created landscape with a mountain. Filled level with raw natural elements like unearthed rocks, boulders, tall grass and a lake in the middle. Since it is a track under construction, it is also filled with construction equipment like barriers, crates, barrels, cement blocks, trucks, ropes, wood pile, shipping containers, etc.

  4. To look like a racetrack, I used an asphalt material created in Quixel mixer for the track and placed billboards and bleachers.

  5. To prevent player from going out to unwanted area, track is bordered by steel walls, dividers, boulders and blocking volumes.

  1. Breakables (Traffic Blockers, Crates)

  2. Collectible (Donut)

  3. Speed Boost

  4. Hazard by animation

  5. Jump pad
